Dubai has evolved as a tourist destination only recently. Unlike other tourist destinations, which take a lot of time to develop itself as a tourist destination, Dubai travel and tourism evolved within a very short span of time due to the excellent efforts of its government.
Earlier Dubai was only a shopper’s destination and had maximum number of visitors at the time of Annual Shopping Festival. Visitors only visited Dubai to have a shopping experience and not for a Dubai travel experience. Gradually Dubai was converted into a luxurious holiday destination and as a commercial center in order to support its economy. The economy which was earned by the oil reserve was used to develop and promote Dubai travel and tourism. With the developments made, Dubai started to attract tourist as a holiday destination.
Due to the location, Dubai has become the center of global market trade leads. Dubai, for this reason has also been developed as a center for trade shows and exhibitions. Due to the location, Dubai travel programs are convenient for international meetings. Dubai attracts thousands of business professionals round the year on a daily basis.
